Back from Kyoto!

by in Asia

One of the reasons why I love fish-eye lenses.

I just returned from four wonderful days in Kyoto. Time to get back on the grind. I have a ton of new blogs to write and photos to post.

While on vacation, I discovered that I won Round 28 of Photo Roulette and thus it is my turn to host. I’ll get that blog up tomorrow and I hope to see a lot of great participation and inspiring photographs. I’m thinking of making the theme ‘framing,’ so get those excellent framing photographs ready.

Thanks to Daniel Cronk at globe-trekking.com for hosting Round 28 and giving me the opportunity to host the next round.

That’s a quick update to let you know I’m alive, well and had a great time. Be on the look out all week long for lots of exciting new posts!

LOVE that first photo of you. Should we consider going to Kyoto during our five days in Japan, or will we need all of that time for Tokyo?

    • http://www.scenewithahart.com scenewithahart

That’s a tough question since it is your first trip here. You definitely need two dedicated days to Kyoto minimum. I personally would spend more time in Kyoto than in Tokyo.
I suppose you should pose this question to yourself, “If I was in California, would I want to spend more time in Los Angeles or San Francisco?” If San Francisco is your answer, then you may like Kyoto better, especially from a photographic POV.
      Thank you for the compliment!
