I’m a journalist, photographer, graphic designer, magazine editor and videographer in the United States Navy. Enlisting in the Navy in July 2008, I’ve since been to more than 20 countries with the Navy and as a solo traveler.

With the benefit of 30 days of paid vacation per year, I take vacations twice a year from my home base of Yokosuka, Japan. While on deployments with my ship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), I takes advantage of the beautiful places I visit by meeting locals, trying local cuisine, shopping, adventure seeking and recording as much as possible on still and digital camera.

My US Navy photographs have appeared in USA Today, CNN, Reuters and a host of military websites and publications. I’m also a Getty Images as a contributor.

As an ambassador for both the military and my country, I feel a deep responsibility to leave a positive footprint every where I go and enjoy every moment life has to offer. With an always present smile, my travels are sure to enlighten, inspire and excite every reader.

I was born in Neptune, New Jersey. I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, went to universities in Florida, Ohio and California. I spent nine years living in Orange County, Calif., before joining the Navy and being stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.
